How do I make worksheets?

Class Manager is designed to help you make appropriate worksheets for all the students in all your classes. It even keeps track of the types of worksheets that each student needs. You can:

Automatically create worksheets for all skill levels, in all operations in one problem type. Choose Create Worksheets from the file menu, and select All Worksheets in a problem type. (See Making Worksheets ). You will quickly have worksheets with 12 random problems, for every skill level, in every operation, for the selected problem types. These worksheets are stored in a file. Each time you do this you create new worksheets. Choose this option if you want to have all students who are working on the same skill level, complete the exact same worksheet.

Create individualized worksheets for each student in your class. Choose Create Worksheets from the file menu, and select Class Worksheets. Class Manager will create a worksheet for each student based on the skill level and operation that the student should be working on. This skill level is determined by data previously recorded for the student indicating the student's level of competence and skill level at which the student needs practice. This determination is based on criteria for competence and frustration, which you can control in Preferences. (See Defining Criteria for Data Analysis).

If you just want worksheets for one student, choose Create Worksheets from the file menu, and select Selected Student. You will see the operation and skill level recommended for that student in the problem types you select. Recommendations are based on the student's status. You may specify different operations and skill levels than what the default recommends for that student.

Create customized worksheets. Choose the Generators menu and select a type of problem. The Worksheet Generator program for that problem type will open and you will be able to design your own worksheet, specifying the skill levels and the number of problems at each skill level, as well as choosing the number of problems on a page with the font and type size of your choice. This option is especially useful if you want to determine different strategies for making worksheets. For example, for some students you may want to provide remediation, or you may want to challenge students with new skills. You can also create customized worksheets by running each Worksheet Generator program; you do not have to open the application from Class Manager.
