To learn to count coins up to $1.00, choose the Count Coins activity at the main screen of the Math Skill Builders: Count Money program. The Count Coins screen is divided into two windows. The window on the left holds the supply of coins and the window on the right holds the selected coins. Click the 'New Problem' button to start a new problem. The prompt window asks you to get a specified amount of money. Select coins from the left window until the right window holds the requested amount of money. You can move coins back and forth between the two windows as often as you like. Click the 'Check Answer' button to see if you are right or wrong. You can try as many times as you like. Click the 'Allow Talking' check box to allow or disable talking for this activity. Click the 'Show Score' check box to allow or disable the score display for this activity. Click the 'Show Totals' check box to allow or disable a display of total amounts for each window. Click the 'New Problem' button for another problem, or click the 'OK' button to end this activity and return to the main screen. Return to the Table of Contents |
