Fixing the Drawer |

After conducting several transactions, you will normally find that you are running short of some coins or bills. You might need to get more pennies or more quarters in order to keep giving change to customers. How you 'fix the drawer' depends upon the level set for the program. Beginning: The drawer is fixed automatically between customers. This is like having the manager looking over your shoulder and fixing the drawer between every customer. Intermediate: You must click the Fix Drawer button when you want to get change for your drawer. This is like calling the manager to the cash register and having her fix the drawer for you. Advanced: You must drag an item (coin or bill) to the bank icon and select the kind of change you want. The change appears in the holding tray, and you must put it into the drawer. This is like going to the manager to get change for a bill. No matter which way the drawer gets fixed, the balance in your drawer will remain the same. Return to the Table of Contents |
