The Cashier's Window simulates a cash drawer. It could be a cash drawer in a cash register, or a cash box at a charity auction. Your job is to take money from customers and give back the correct change.

The window is split into two major areas: The customer on the left, and the cash drawer on the right. Transactions are conducted by moving money back and forth between the customer and the cash drawer. Move bills and coins by clicking, dragging and dropping. (Click the left mouse button on a coin, hold the button down as you move the coin, then release the button to drop the coin).

The Directions box in the upper left corner of the window tells you what you need to do next, and gives some helpful tips.

There are also several control buttons on the Cashier's Window

Next Customer - Click to start a transaction
Check Transaction - Click to end a transaction
Help - Click for helpful hints and to see the help file
Quit - Click to end your shift, and to see the Cashier Report

Information about the current transaction is shown in the upper right corner of the screen. The customer's charge is always shown. The cash tendered and the change due are shown for the Count Change mode, and are not shown for the Make Change mode.
