Take Money from Customers
In any sale the customer's money must be taken and put away. Use Make Change to practice the following steps necessary to complete a transaction:
1. Take the customer's money and place it in a safe holding place.
2. Give the customer change if necessary.
3. Put the customer's money in the correct place in the cash drawer.
Start at the beginning level practicing these steps. (Choose the Beginning Level in program options at the New Cashier Sign In window). At the beginning level the cashier cannot go to another transaction without completing each step. The cashier must take the customer's money. In the intermediate and advanced levels, the cashier can make the mistake of not taking the customer's money. The cashier's report, shown at the end of the "shift" tells if money was left on the holding tray, as a reminder to put the money away in future transactions. Return to the Table of Contents |
