Assignment creates new problems at the current skill level, and saves the problems to check later with Check Assignment. Because each assignment is unique, this is the way to provide individualized homework to solve away from the computer. To get an Assignment, click the Assignment button under Activity at the main window.

At the top of the assignment window you see the operation and the skill level of the assigned problems. You can see your name and the date of the assignment in the upper right corner of the window. Follow these directions to use Assignment:

Print the Assignment

Click Print to print the assignment that is on the screen.

Save the Assignment

Click Save to save this assignment to check later. A box appears that asks you how to save this assignment. If you like the name in the box, click Save. The program usually assigns a name with the name of the operation (for example Bobby.addition). This makes it easier to find when you want to check your assignment later. You can type a different name and then click Save. Remember what you type so you can recognize it later when you want to check your assignment. Usually, the program only keeps one assignment in each operation. You can save more than one assignment by saving files with different names (for example Bobby.addition1, Bobby.addition2, Bobby.addition3).

Finish Assignment

Click Done to return to the main window. Use Check Assignment to check your answers to this assignment before you get a new assignment in the same operation.

How to Customize the Assignment

You can choose Preferences to Set the Number of Problems in Assignment.
