Challenge Students to Show All the Steps in an Arithmetic Solution

Students may be able to answer a problem correctly, especially if they use a calculator, but they also need to know the steps in arriving at a solution. To practice this, make a worksheet with problems that require several steps to answer. Choose Solutions from the View menu and make a worksheet that shows the problem and the solution . Check the student's solution. Make sure they put all the right numbers in all the right places, as well as getting the answer correct.
