Standards that pertain to computation of whole numbers and decimals for the state of Illinois:

Grade 3:
  • Solve one- and two-step problems with whole numbers using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

    Grade 6:
  • Solve one- and two-step problems involving whole numbers, fractions and decimals using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

    Grade 8:
  • Select computational procedures and solve problems with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents and proportions.

    Editor's note: Since Illinois gives no indication as to level of difficulty at any grade level, we can only assume that they intend students to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and decimals, at any level of difficulty, by the end of grade 8.
