We are often asked how our skill levels relate to grade levels. We have been reluctant to say for two reasons: A) it depends upon the state in which you live, and B) we really do not think that grade level is as important as competency level when deciding what a student should be working on at any given time. Having said that, and understanding that parents and teachers do want some general guidelines for student expectations, we have begun correlating our skill levels with various state computational standards.

You can view standards two ways by clicking links in the adjoining table: A) by individual states, and B) by operation. Viewing by state displays our skill levels in terms of each operation and grade level, as defined by that state's standards. Viewing by operation displays our skill levels in terms of grade level expectations comparatively across all states in our data base.

This collection is not yet complete: We will add to it as time allows. It is not exact: The 'fuzzy' nature of many statements of state standards requires us to make some best guesses. We welcome knowledgeable comment and corrections, which should be directed to: Chuck@SSSoftware.com.
