Standards that pertain to computation of whole numbers and decimals for the state of New York:
Grades 1-2
Add and subtract up to three - digit numbers with no re grouping.
Add and subtract up to two-digit numbers requiring regrouping.
Grades 3-4
Addition and subtraction of whole numbers less than one million.
Subtraction with zeros in the minuend.
Multiply three-digit numbers by two-digit numbers. Multiplication by multiples of 10.
Division of three-digit dividends by one- and two-digit divisors (quotient and remainder).
Grades 5-6
Multiply and divide by three-digit numbers.
Add and subtract decimals to thousandths.
Multiply decimals to hundredths, and divide decimals to hundredths, using whole number divisors.
Grades 7-8
Consistently and accurately perform operations on integers, decimals, and rational numbers.
